Common questions

How do I put the verse on my Home Screen?: Press and hold an empty part of your Home Screen until the icons wobble, tap Edit and then Add Widget, find Plain Scripture, choose a size and tap Add Widget. Lock Screen widgets are added the same way from the Lock Screen’s Customize screen.
The daily reminder doesn’t arrive.: Open the app’s Settings and check that Remind me is on and the hour is right. Then, in iOS Settings › Notifications › Plain Scripture, make sure notifications are allowed. Focus modes can also hold a reminder back.
I paid, but the readings are still locked.: In the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If you share a Family Sharing group, the purchase reaches everyone in it.
How do I get a refund?: Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Can I change the Bible translation or the language?: Yes. Every translation is free. In the app’s Settings you can choose the language of the app and, separately, the Bible you read in.
Do I need an internet connection?: No. The whole Bible is inside the app, and everything you save stays on your phone.
